After the resounding success of last yearâs Giller Book Club, the Giller Foundation is thrilled to announce the programâs return with a brand new lineup. The program will feature the authors on the 2021 longlist in conversation with notable writers, critics, past jury members, and academics.

The Giller Power Panels are monthly events that celebrate a dedicated theme. These panel-led discussions launched in February 2021, just in time to honour Black History Month. The aim of these panels is to gather experts in their field who will engage the Canadian public in ongoing social, political, and cultural issues.â The Giller Power Panels are hosted each month from January to July.
Launched in January 2021, The Giller Book Club is one of The Giller Foundationâs initiatives to celebrate Canadian authors year-round. In 2021, we featured the 14 longlisted authors and books from 2020. These 60-minute discussions uniquely paired the longlisted authors with Canadian icons, other writers, journalists, reviewers, presidents of publishing houses, and artistic figures as interviewers.
