Submission Deadlines
Entries for the 2026 Giller Prize (finished books or galleys, no loose pages) are to be submitted according to the following schedule:
Deadline 1: February 13, 2026
For books published between October 1, 2025, and February 28, 2026.
Deadline 2: April 17, 2026
For books published between March 1, 2026, and April 30, 2026.
Deadline 3: June 19, 2026
For books published between May 1, 2026, and June 30, 2026.
Deadline 4: August 14, 2026
For books published between July 1, 2026, and September 30, 2026.
Submissions received after the final deadline of August 14, 2026, will be deemed ineligible.
Longlist Announcement

Shortlist Announcement
Monday, October 5, 2026 | 9 a.m. ET
Winner Announcement
Monday, November 17, 2026 | 9:00 p.m. ET
