Entries for the 2025 Giller Prize (finished books or galleys, no loose pages) are to be submitted according to the following schedule:

Deadline 1: February 14, 2025
Books published between October 1, 2024, and February 28, 2025, must be received on or before February 14, 2025.

Deadline 2: April 17, 2025
Books published between March 1, 2025, and April 30, 2025, must be received on or before April 17, 2025.

Deadline 3: June 20, 2025
Books published between May 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025, must be received on or before June 20, 2025.

Deadline 4: August 15, 2025
Books published between July 1, 2025, and September 30, 2025, must be received on or before August 15, 2025.

Submissions received after the final deadline of August 15, 2025, will be deemed ineligible.

Monday, September 15, 2025
The 2025 Giller Prize longlist will be announced on September 15, 2025.

Monday, October 6, 2025
The 2025 shortlist will be announced on Monday, October 6, 2025.

Monday, November 17, 2025 | 9:00 p.m. ET
