The Giller Foundation Launches the Giller Book Club, A Scotiabank Giller Prize First
The Giller Foundation is thrilled to announce the debut of The Giller Book Club, kicking off today. The debut author and book will be 2020 winner Souvankham Thammavongsa for her short story collection, How to Pronounce Knife. Winner of the 2016 Scotiabank Giller Prize and author of Do Not Say We Have Nothing, Madeleine Thien, will interview Thammavongsa virtually on January 4, 2021 as the inaugural interview.

Souvankham Thammavongsa Wins the 2020 Scotiabank Giller Prize
Souvankham Thammavongsa is the winner of the 2020 Scotiabank Giller Prize for her short story collection, How To Pronounce Knife, published by McClelland & Stewart. Thammavongsa will receive $100,000 courtesy of Scotiabank.
The Audlib Project by Audible
In celebration of the 2020 Scotiabank Giller Prize finalists, Audible is illuminating the art of storytelling with a unique work, The Audlib Project. This Audible Original is an ad-lib collaborative short story, written collectively by all of the 2020 Scotiabank Giller Prize finalists, where each explored the theme of “Home,” as inspired by the creativity of their work. The Audlib Project is available for free, exclusively at Audible.ca and current and/or past works of the 2020 shortlisted authors are also available on Audible.
